March 2017, a Digest
Hello all,
The Cluttered Desk Podcast went on the road (quite literally, at times) this month, and we're excited to bring you the fruits of our travel.
In a special episode—our first with a live studio audience—Andrew and Colin interview their dear friend Daniel Couper. Daniel has just released his long-awaited debut album, Bienvenu, which is available on iTunes, Spotify, and Bandcamp. Please support his work!
In addition, Colin and Andrew give wheels to The Cluttered Desk in "Cars and Claws, Bub." They discuss their immediate thoughts on the new X-Men film Logan in the car on the way home from the theater.
Finally, Colin talks to Jacqui Helbert, who, on March 21, was fired by NPR affiliate station WUTC, located on The University of Tennessee’s Chattanooga campus. State lawmakers Mike Bell and Kevin Brooks complained that Helbert did not identify herself as a reporter when she covered a story about a transgender bathroom bill. The proposed legislation would require public school students to use bathrooms corresponding with the gender on their birth certificates. Follow these links to learn more about this story:
